I remember the first time I heard the name “H.R. Giger”. It was when I visited my cousin and was immediately terrified by the rotting baby collage he had on his wall. He assured me that it was cool – “This is the dude that made THE Alien from Alien!”, which made me a fan instantly. His work was dark and disturbing but peaceful and beautiful all the same. He gave us geeks (and Goths) someone to look up to. Sure, he just made us seem weirder to people that didn’t get it, but being normal is so overrated.
Works from H.R. Giger
