Title: Afterlife with Archie Issue 6
Publisher: Archie Comics
Reviewer: @MetropolisKid
Rating: 5 out of 5

When I heard that Archie Comics was branching out and doing a hrror comic, I had to see what they were doing. I loved Archie, as a kid, and though I haven’t kept up with his ongoings for awhile I poked my head in here and there. For the past couple of years, they seem to be trying to change their image, with the introduction of a gay character and a handicapped teen coming soon. Written by Roberto Aguire-Sacasa and beautifully rendered by Francesco Francavilla (@f_francavilla), the comic takes the characters you know and puts a more real world spin on them. Throw in some magic, and cue the zombie apocalypse, and you’ve got a creepy tale featuring characters you already know and love. The best part is no one seems “safe” in this world. Archie has already lost his best friend and many others.

This particular issue fills you in on where Sabrina has been since her exile in the first issue. Some beautifully creepy imagery and a compelling tale hint that there is more than just zombies behind this whole story. Nice segue to kick off the next chapter of the tale. If you’re not reading this you should be picking it up.
