Title: Hulk Issue 6

The Hulk is a hard character to write. I get it. It’s been 50+ years of telling a story about the same old character. How many foes are really a match for Hulk? His title lumbers on with momentary moment of brightness (Peter David’s run, Planet Hulk are a couple of examples). Finally someone is doing something new: Gerry Duggan on writing and the great Gary Frank on pencils.
Hulk has a new persona. Doc Green works literally endlessly to help humanity and now he’s cleaning up the mess Hulk made. A nice story to clean up all the extraneous Hulks the Marvel U has accumulated, Doc Green vs A-Bomb starts the gauntlet battle that promises to include Red Hulk, Red She Hulk and She Hulk. While saying he’s helping humanity one wonders if he has something else entirely in mind.
Only six issues in, if you/re not picking up Hulk, you should be. It’s hopefully the beginning of another moment of brightness.
