Title: The New 52 Futures End Detective Comics Issue 1
Publisher: DC Comics
Reviewer: @MetropolisKid
Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Pulling from the recently ended Zero Year storyline in Batman, and continuing a story from Detective Annual 3, Gotham five years in the future doesn’t look very welcoming. One of the better of the September Event I’ve read so far, but it’s only the first week, where all the DC Comics jump ahead 5 years.

If you’ve followed my Futures End reviews here and on my Twitter, you’ll know I’ve been on the fence about this weekly event. We’ve seen and re-seen future worlds in comicdom, and we all know they aren’t going to take place. Something will happen by then end of the story to negate this whole future.

But, overall it was, as the title suggests a mystery as to why The Bat is working with The Riddler and what the endgame is. In the end the story was fun and entertaining and had a great finish. The art was pretty and the whole thing flowed well.
