Best Free Comic Book Day Ever @ East Side Mags in Montclair, NJ

Most things won’t get me out the door early on a Saturday morning, but Free Comic Book Day is an exception. And East Side Mags in Montclair, NJ made it so worth it. I’ve only recently started going to this store after I moved to the area and like some of my other favorite comic shops, East Side Mags has what makes any comic book store great: an awesome staff. Jeff Beck, pictured with Captain America above, runs the shop and he and his staff went all out for this comic book day. If you haven’t stopped by yet and you live in the area, you should definitely check it out. And if you don’t live around here, go to your local comic book shop and support your local comic nerds. And, besides, if you go today, you’ll even get some free comics! What could be better?

Check out my loot below. The highlight for me was definitely the free comic book day exclusive premier of Barrier by Brian K. Vaughan and an exclusive (Bloody) PX previews Lying Cat Funko Pop figure from SAGA, aka. the greatest sci fi story since Star Wars.
