Celebrate Free Comic Book Day 2015 at FJB Comics in Jersey City! Because the only thing better than a comic book is a free comic book.
The first Saturday in May every year has become known in nerd circles across the world as “Free Comic Book Day“. That’s because, and you may have guessed this, you can get comics at shops everywhere for free! As a Jersey City resident, I spent my day at FJB Comics on 17 Coles St., and I must say, these guys are some of the nices gents. I know this because if you’re a real nerd, every Wednesday is comic book day, not just one Saturday in May. So … If you haven’t already, check out FJB Comics or your local comic book shop today!
And don’t forget, pick up a comic, they’re free! Who knows, you might actually like it. And if you’re convinced, start visiting your local shop every Wednesday, when publishers release their latest issues. Trust me, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you like reading, there is a comic book out there for you. People tend to write off different types of art so easily before they’ve actually experienced it. It would be like writing off music entirely because you hate that Taylor Swift song on the radio. Not all songs sound like that song and not all comics are about grown men fighting crime in tights (although some of those are awesome as well).
Anyways, check out our pictures from FJB Comics on Free Comic Book Day 2015 that featured two local artists, Eli Ramos and Redd Ryan, selling their work. It’s awesome and affordable so check it out! And … go read a comic book! – Dennis Marrero | @gtdebris
