At the last Grassroots Community Space JC Fridays event, we learned of a regular Jersey City drum circle that takes on the streets every month. Sure, we’ve seen these shenanigans in the past, but little did we know that we could actually take part in this “Rhythm is going to get you” experience!
The next Community Rhythm Drum circle will be a parade that takes place on September 20th at the corner of Jersey & Newark in Downtown JC at 4:30pm (See Event Details). Be ready to parade to the grove plaza and don’t fret if you don’t own a drum. Bring a pot, pan, toaster oven or even your annoying younger brother. You can drum on literally anything that makes noise when you bang on it and ALL are welcome!
