It’s not often that a man would interrupt another man actively using the urinal at a major league baseball game, but when you invite nerds to a sporting event, all bets are off. And Star Wars Night at Citi Field on May 19, 2018 was a spectacle just waiting to happen. And, to be honest, the man who complemented my Fin blood-streaked stormtrooper mask while I was at the urinal came as a pleasant and welcomed surprise and the Mets giving us a “New Hope” in the 8th and 9th innings to destroy the Arizona Death Star was the icing on the cake.

If that wasn’t good enough, we got to take home a special edition Mr. Met as Han Solo with Chewbacca Bobble head. BOOYAH!

But the highlight for me was this fan’s tribute to a galaxy far far away. Enjoy. – Dennis Marrero

Mets Star Wars Night 2018

I regret to say that I did catch the name of this fan who made this sick stormtrooper mets mask, but if you’re out there you metropolitan stormtrooper, please get in touch with us on Twitter or Facebook so we can credit you!

I think sporting events should just always play iconic Sci-Fi movie clips between innings. But if anyone steals this idea, I got dibs on any bobble heads that may be involved. MY suggestion for your next sci-fi themed night: THE WALKING DEAD Mets. Bruce can be Negan.

Mr. Met as Han Solo and Chewbacca Bobble Head

Some members of the Dark Side trotted the fields with some “Lucky” fans. They were never heard from again.

Star Wars night trivia was intense though. The questions were impossible to answer if you’ve never heard of Star Wars. I mean come on. Everyone knows Han’s ship is the Death Star …. or is it?
